We spent 2 nights here in a pet-friendly room since we had our dog with us. Our room had tiled floors, which made sense for easy clean-up of any dog messes. The two queen beds were comfortable and the room was very clean except for the floors, which obviously hadn't been mopped in a while because each night the bottom of our feet would be black and we'd have to wash them before bed. The per-night dog fee was reasonable. The front desk staff were polite and very efficient. The breakfast was very good and all the staff we ran into were very friendly. The decor was really nice. Loved all the blue shades. There is an area behind the hotel's pool that has doggie poop bags and a trash can. The hotel is on the intracoastal waterway and has a beautiful deck area along the water with tables & chairs. The outdoor pool looked great, but it had just closed for the winter when we were there (Nov. 1), so that was a bummer. There were some missing molding pieces around the floors in our room and the hotel itself, and the bathtub faucet was a little rickety, but we had plenty of water pressure and warm water for showers. The A/C unit had a slight mildew smell when it was on, but we purchased a flat, car air freshener and put it in the louvres and that solved the problem. We did have a palmetto bug show up on the end of our bed, but my husband captured it and threw it outside near the water. The hotel is in a good area, and we would definitely consider staying here again.
