Looks Fancy Outside, but Very Outdated Inside
The Fairmont Dallas makes a great first impression from the outside, and valet service was excellent — polite and efficient. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for us.
Once inside, the hotel feels tired and outdated. Service was extremely slow — we asked for coffee and water in the morning, waited over two hours, and made three follow-up calls before giving up and getting it ourselves. When we asked for a microwave to warm up our child’s food, we were told none were available for guest use — not even in a common area.
We stayed in a double junior suite, but the bathroom was very small, and most of the light fixtures were old, dim, or not working properly.
Fairmont used to stand for luxury, but this property really hasn’t kept up. It feels like they’re relying on the brand’s history instead of updating rooms or improving service. Dallas has many newer, more comfortable hotels that offer better value and attention to guests.
