We've never been to Microtel before, so we tried it. We've been lurred by a new modern good look tiny hotel by Whyndam. Don't be fooled. Cheap wooden floor with paper walls. They accept pets, which we heard the dogs next door barking a good part of our stay and listening to people taking. Room ok, a bit tight for the price.
Staff was good, but we noticed the guys in charge of kitchen/breakfast room was touching dirty dishes, and remove clean from dishwasher without washing hands, and after garbage bagging and recharging orange juice, again, without washing hands between tasks. IT WAS DISGUSTING.
We'll never go back in a Microtel, our first experience flamed us with this brand. Sorry. We sent in hundreds of hotels over the years, we had much better stays elsewhere.
