While nothing was âwrongâ with our stay, it wasnât for us. Our room was clean but the bathroom was a bit musty/mildewy. If you have a roadside room, note the establishment across the street has loud music that you can hear with your windows shut until 11pm or later.
The elevators, while very cool one time, take forever and with the rooftop bar as an attraction, getting a hotel is often a task. The rooms are not spacious. I didnât like the fact that the refrigerator was not functional, it was stuff fill over super overpriced alcohol. And the candy/snack basket was silly. Who pays $5+ for a normal size kit-kat bar?? Would not stay again, even at the lower price.
We had a very cute and small king room. It definitely felt like an old hotel. The original elevators were neat but slow. It was July but the duvet seemed like a very warm winter one. There are no blackout blinds, only slatted blinds. The restaurant in the hotel was cute, not a wide menu.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. Our room was not serviced at all for the entire stay. Beds never done, towels never replaced, tea and coffee never replenished. Worst of all the bed occupied 3/4 of the size of the room. The smallest room of any hotel stay in my life. I would never ever stay here again.
The place was clean and smaller than expected. The window was broken and staff was notified. It was a little noisy than expected later in the evening. The elevator was challenging with a lot of character. The staff were great (including the valet parking) and the rooftop view is amazing.
The Bed was very comfortable. Everything was tight thou lots of small surfaces (chairs, bathroom vanity and sir tables) my stuff seemed to always fall off. There was just No good place to put my suitcase (carry on size). Plus were not very accessible for charging things, the plugs were behind the bed or open wall with nothing around to set phone or laptop on. Front desk was very very nice. Elevators are slow, but they are historical so I didnât really mind it was cool to be in history. Also fresh candy bowl made waiting for the elevator nice!
Really overall well run hotel and nice things Iâd just say it very French with things be on the tight and small side. But great accessible location.
Not a hotel u want a car at thou. Expensive parking area!
It was a nice vintage hotel, the elevators are very small and old school, which was nice to experience. However, if you have lots of luggage itâll be a problem. The rooms are VERY small and the AC is not strong, I would not recommend to stay here during the summer or if you want strong AC
Old classic style. Elevators built 1913. Super cool vibe. Great bar attached. Parking hard to find but valet parking available for $65 (UGG). But enjoyed our stay.
Palihotel was very disappointing! Hotel has the original elevator system which is very difficult to manage. Rooms were dirty, stained carpet and bathroom tub. Towels were not fresh. AC did not work, instead of having guest service address it, I was told by the front desk to unplug the AC unit and replug it. I strongly recommend going somewhere else unless you like stepping back in time with no amenities.
Superb decor. Small room but the whole experience of the hotelâs interior design is like stepping in a time capsule. Lots of food options in the hotel and around the area. Staff was helpful. Would stay here again!
Antique character and decor adds charm in the rooms, lobby and elevator.
Music from club next door could be heard until 2:00am,after that complete silence
