A good example of how choosing the wrong hotel can ruin a holiday. This hotel is rated 4 stars, but is a poor quality 3-star accommodation, intended solely for Italians who like commotion. Apartments are small, cheaply furnished and broken-down. The shower was 50x50cm - no room to turn around in. Noise level was constantly high: Italian animators bellowing in the microphone by the pool (and only area with a bar) and children screaming constantly. Cicada (insects) provided background "music" by incessantly chirping/screeching - especially enjoyable when the air conditioning breaks down. Information provided by hotels.com was sparse and misleading. If you book the apartment only, there is no access to the restaurants (not even for breakfast). There is no daily maid service and they won't even give you extra toilet paper. If you book full board, you have daily maid service but no utensils in the kitchen. Wifi is only at the bar or lobby. There is no fitness centre and the whirlpool was a joke. The gardens are nice and one woman at the reception tried to be accommodating and changed us to a two-bedroom apartment –one-bedroom apartments are not suited for 4. The region is uninteresting and the architecture is depressing. Some of the towns are nice, the sea is beautiful, but nice beaches are hard to find. If you do not like fish or seafood, there is not much else. All in all, not a pleasant, relaxing place if you truly are looking for, and are used to, 4-star quality and service.
