Overall good. There was no bath plug and the hot water was really unstable (sometimes it randomly turned burning hot or freezing, really unpleasant).
Beyond that, it was a fairly good hotel.
This property is situated in a town that feels like you're coming out of a old western movie. It was really cool and being surrounded by mountains was beautiful.
Pros- Staff were very friendly. The room was small but was very clean and updated. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was also updated with a stand up shower but no tub. Shampoo/conditioner/shower gel and lotion were provided which is great if you forget to bring your own. There is also a microwave and decent sized mini fridge in the room along with a Nespresso coffee machine. TV had numerous satellite channels to watch so that was much appreciated. The location of the hotel is in the heart of the downtown area so it's a quick walk to coffee shops and other shopping stores.
Cons- The walls were thin so you could hear everything in the hallway which made it difficult to get a sound sleep. There is a restaurant and a ahuttle to the airport but no other amenities such as a workout area etc.
All in all a great little boutique hotel in beautiful downtown Whitehorse.
Spent one night on our travels and were very pleased with the Downtown Hotel. Loved the enclosed space, made it easy to get to our 2nd floor room out of the elements. The âgathering spaceâ was a nice touch. Quiet, clean, super comfy beds and perfect TV reception. Highly recommend!
