Hotels.com should take a more active role to ensure reservation is confirmed especially when the booking is done on the same day when staying overnight on the same day.
Worse thing hotels.com can say no refund can be given as it is non refundable and subject to the hotel approval. It was at the very same hotel which I was sitting for one hour and not allowed to go.
Will I get any kind of compensation? Nothing. Nothing to appease me.
Hotels.com is not the only one. I will venture out for some other better agents. I think they are starting to take things for granted, I have been a loyal customer for so many years and this is how I am treated,
Now about the hotelâŠ
1) Aircon not working. Hot
2) towels not given and had to request. Said given when not given
3) No telephone- hotels.com tried to call the management to verify the issue and they cannot go through
4) shower/ water pressure so low, water was trickling down
5) toilet seat broken
Check-in staff wanted additional RM10 for a 'foreigner fee' and told me its hotel requirement but later 'wavied off' for me after I questioned him further. Room was old, dirty with spider webs and old bedsheets. Tv was not functioning and no towel. When I went down to counter and ask for towels, staff said hotel has ran out of it.
The shower needs to be cleaned better especially the drain which was mostly blocked so the shower flooded the bathroom.
Floor was a bit dusty.
Bedsheets were stained!
