While the room looked very much as pictured, and the view over San Lorenzo in Lucina was super, the bed was worn to the point of sagging in the center, and unsupportive. The windows had very little sound proofing (though purported to in the advertisement) from the lively square below.
We have stayed in other hotels in Rome Center and other cities overlooking piazze which were just as noisy, but the windows were much better fitting for soundproofing. It was very difficult to sleep with the amount of noise from below, as well as the assistant above. It was end of season and not as crowded as high season, so I would imagine even more noise in the busier periods.
The bathroom was also outdated with a loose hanging/unstable shower (rather unsafe, actually) that also leaked onto the floor.
A new mattress, better window fittings, and shower would make this a comfortable and pleasant stay. As it was, we were very disappointed with this accommodation.
