Authentic and romantic place with an awesome view on the Indian ocean and the sunrise/sunset, a beautiful fishermen's village ; great homestay, great staff, wonderful people who make your stay very special - welcoming, caring, helpful, giving precious information when you need it, taking you to beautiful places and events. Delicious food and substantial meals also. Very good wifi. The room is very pleasant and clean with a small terrace overlooking the beach. I just had a wonderful stay there, this place will capture your heart for sure. I recommend it 100%.
Located right by the beach, about a 75m walk from the main road (although a bit hard to find when arriving at night). Staff seemed a little disorganised (I wasnât advised that my stay included breakfast until the last night) and the room I received was not the one booked. Originally at checkin they advised me they were full, even though I had booked and paid in full. Room of mediocre cleanliness (strong odour in bathroom) and room serviced only on one day during my stay. Strong, well functioning AC.
The location of this homestay is perfect for being at the beach with a view of Mount Agung. The rooms are clean with great A/C. The family that runs the place are really nice and helpful with any of your needs. I will be staying here again.
Amed Sari Beach is a great place to stay, tucked away from the main road, right on the beach, other restaurants and shops right there, great value for money, great for swimming, famous snorkel spot 20 minutes walk away.

We booked for one night but when we arrived in Amed and had a look around we decided to stay on for two. The hotel was well located, although it was about 20 mins to sunset point and 15 mins to the nicer beach area with the best snorkelling. However we didn't mind the walk and enjoyed being further down the beach. The hotel has a little restaurant that sits on the beach so you can have your breakfast looking out to sea. We also had lunch for the convienence and it was really quite cheap. The room had ac and they have daily housekeeping which were both nice to have. However the bed wasn't particularly comfortable but we still slept well for both nights.
You do have to walk down a bit of a strange alleyway to get to the hotel, which is fine when you know where you're going. (Don't forget to stop and see the pigs halfway down the path who like to pop their heads over the wall to say hi.)
Would stay here again.
Good and happy staff.
Big room with a nice view.
Nice to have breakfast included (Toast, egg and drink)

The best part of the hotel is its location, on the beach, staring at the Indian Ocean. The sound of the waves relentlessly splashing across the stones and the sand can be heard from inside the room, at least from those closest to the ocean. I watched a glorious sunset and a sunrise walking a few steps off my room. The breakfast (included in the room rate) and other meals served were tasty. The room itself was ordinary per se, but had most of the amenities that tourists need. Free Wifi at decent speed was available. The electricity fluctuates affecting the aircon which is annoying given that the weather varies from warm to hot. I am told that this disruption is common across hotels in the surrounding, which is believable. The staff are quite nice. The caretaker drove me to my next destination showing temples and beaches along the way. He offered a very reasonable rate, and was pleasant and conscientious throughout the trip. All in all I would come to this place to stay at this hotel again, to laze around a few days at such close proximity of the Indian Ocean.
