If your expectations are set appropriately for a lodge in the middle of the woods, with charm and history oozing out of the cracks in the floor, youâll love this place! Itâs not a cookie cutter, near-the-airport, type of hotel.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating.
Great little gem of a place. Gotta have the eggs benny for breaky. Cute lodge, quiet, clean, friendly folks, felt safe. Spent 4 nights there just relaxing. Worth the 6.5 hr drive
Amazing! They waited up for us. Kept the pub open for us. The breakfast was perfectly sized and delicious. The room was quaint and historic. Quiet and really affordable. Definitely would recommend
Except for the bed, the room's furniture is from Value Village, there are stains on the carpet and decoration, there is dirt on the furniture and baseboards. The kitchenette area was dirty too. We stayed 7 nights and the old (really old) towels were never changed, and if you want the bed sheets changed, you have to pay extra. And they never came to vacuum clean or clean the bathroom. Windows are dirty too
A very beautiful setting for a unique old time experience. Close to the park (Cedar Point), way too many bugs ( due to high water) but it did take us back in time to where our surroundings were so natural and, unlike most accomodations these days, comfortable and funky.
