We are extremely disappointed with our 3 nights at VC. All the more disappointed as this hotel markets itself as a 5* hotel (similar to the Nobis hotel where we stayed last year and which was outstanding). A few examples of critics reflecting the lack of a basic sense of hospitality at this hotel: (i) ahead of our arrival, VC simply did not respond to our emails asking for help to book a taxi from the airport and restaurants during our stay, (ii) VC allows for dodgy people to take naps in the lobby during the day and in the evening which creates a sense of insecurity uncommon for a 5* hotel, (iii) we were moved to another room upon our arrival because of the noise from a party outside (until late in the night) which was unbearable and complained about how tiny our new room on the 3rd floor was compared to our first one (beyond the fact that it did not improve the noise situation) â I was promised by someone at the front desk the reimbursement of that first night and another room for the remaining two nights but neither obviously happened and (iv) the Head of the Front Desk at checkout announced to us that weâd have to take our luggage with us right after breakfast because the hotel was closed from noon despite the fact that our flight was muchlater in the afternoon. Generally, the staff was totally incapable to cope with the fact that a large group was staying at the hotel during our stay and it made the whole experience poor. Staff is too young, inexperienced and unfriendly.
Fantastisk flott hotell, nydelig estetikk, godt tilbud av mat, drikke, og bakeri. Kjempefine rom, men de er veldig smÄ. Vi hadde det helt fantastisk, men litt vi klarer ikke helt Ä justify prisen med stÞrrelsen pÄ rommene.
Really noisy room. The announcements from the train station and the sounds of the trains could be clearly heard in the room. Otherwise a nice clean hotel.
