First, I was double booked and not of my doing. The work of a third party. Luckily, one reservation was canceled. Second, my HC room was not accessible (How is that even possible). Third, the room I was given was not a HC room. It did have some grab bars, but the tub/shower was very difficult to use and certainly not accessible! This is a hotel past it's glory days yet still expensive to stay at - I didn't find much value or appeal now. It's behind the times in incorporating universal design in room updates or employing recycle programs or having well trained front desk staff.
The hotel was lovely in a great location, central to Old Santa Fe. But the rooms were very small. And while breakfasts were fine, dinner at their lovely hotel restaurant was not good.
This hotel is beautiful, in a great location, and has several dining and shopping options available. A couple of things that made what should have been a GREAT stay, a disappointing one- the floor that I was on was under construction (?). I was not notified or alerted to this and it was extremely disruptive and frankly, rude. I was unable to be seated (party of 1) at the main restaurant despite more than half of the tables available. Went to the bar and was ignored for 7 minutes without any acknowledgement, so I left. Shower pressure is like being pelted with paint balls. Bed is hard. Felt like this was REALLY overpriced for the experience.
