We were ultimately extremely disappointed with our stay at the Sirata for a number of reasons:
The rooms do not match the hotel website or Google page. Despite the website making this look updated & modern, our building, and room especially, felt like a motel. Our first room had what looked to be black mold on the ceiling. We were then assigned another room, with a dirt ringed bath mat in the shower. The experience with the room alone tainted the experience the most.
We were excited to see the property has a gate. However, at night the entrance gate remained opened all evening while the exit side remained closed, defeating the purpose of monitoring who was coming in and mitigating any feelings of safety it might provide.
We ate lunch at one of the restaurants on property on Friday. We each requested ketchup, one came out with the food and the other was shared by the bartender from behind the bar. After receiving three separate containers of ketchup from the bartenders, we gave up. All three smelled and tasted of alcohol as if they had soured in the heat.
We have yet to receive any type of receipt or invoice from our stay despite calling sirata yesterday and them saying someone will be in contact. This unfortunately adds to our overall negative experience.
With these items in mind, we’d like to request a partial refund given our experience. The property ultimately was misrepresented to us and would like a refund for the resort fee and parking.
