Great stay at the Montana
I visit London pretty frequently but my first time in the Montana. Great location. My flight arrived early morning so I arrived at the hotel early to request they hold my bag until check-in; warm welcome, no problem and was told my bag would go straight to my room when allocated. When I returned at 8pm, I received another warm welcome, reminded my breakfast was included in my rate and was given details of the breakfast location and times. My bag was already in my room as promised. Great start. My room was compact and bijoux but had what I needed. TV worked well although I couldn't get iPlayer to connect, tea and coffee facilities were adequate and the bathroom was a great size. I like that I had the choice of bath or shower. I slept well as the bed was comfortable, no noise from the city and other guests were considerate. My Continental Breakfast in the morning was great with lots of choices including breads, pastries, cheeses, hams, fresh fruits, salads, cereals, yogurts, juices and more I can't remember. I had the option to purchase a selection of cooked breakfasts including Full English, Poached Eggs or Benedict/Royal. Avocado Toast etc. Prices were reasonable too. When I left as my flight was in the evening, I asked to leave my bag which I quickly retrieved when I returned at 5pm. The staff members were so pleasant in every exchange, every welcome was warm. I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect for LHR connections.

6/10 Good

Reasonable hotel but needs updating.
The staff themselves were polite and very helpful especially when I asked to change rooms having been out in a basement room with a service cupboard area outside the window. Moved straight away to a bigger 3rd floor room but unfortunately although very clean and comfortable the wall on the window side had signs of damp and room smelt musty. Every thing was clean but rooms desperately need updating. Bathrooms look as if they have been done recently. Good price and one of the few hotels that had single rooms available. It was also quiet at night which was a bonus. Would I stay again, probably not unless rooms had been decorated.

Montana hotel
Small narrow room, with small fridge a desk with one chair. Bigger bathroom with bath tub. A bit old fashioned. Tiny elevator. Room was overall clean but I didn’t use the kettle to boil water as it had limescale. Service was good. Just needed a short night stay. Good location

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall positive experience, earning it a solid 4/5 stars. Pros: Front Desk Staff: The staff at the front desk were incredibly kind and helpful, making check-in and any inquiries a breeze. Room Amenities: Our room was equipped with a fridge, which was very convenient for storing snacks and drinks. Location: The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions and the subway, which made exploring the area incredibly easy. Attached Restaurant: There's an attached restaurant, which is a nice feature. Cons: Dining Room Staff: While the dining room staff was friendly, there was a bit of a language barrier when ordering breakfast. This was a minor inconvenience but something to be aware of if you don’t speak the local language. Elevator: Unfortunately, the elevator was out of order during our stay, requiring us to use steep, narrow stairs to reach our room. I hope this is a temporary issue. Bathroom: We did notice some mold in the bathtub, which was not ideal and should be addressed by the hotel. Laundry Service: Although the hotel advertises a laundry service, it wasn't available. Thankfully, I found a same-day laundry service nearby that offers pickup and delivery, so it worked out in the end. Restaurant: Unfortunately, we couldn't dine at the attached restaurant because they serve several items to which my son is severely allergic. In conclusion, while there were a few hiccups, the positive aspects of this hotel outweigh the neg

Montana Hotel was exactly what I was looking for in a London hotel. Affordable, clean, great location, next to an underground station. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Something to note: they have an elevator. However, for my stay it was not working. It's wise to check with the hotel if you have mobility issues.

Stayed on 30/6/24 with lift out of order. Staff did not help to carry luggage. Staircases too narrow for carrying luggage. Air-conditioning in our room was out of order. Stayed again on 9/7/24 when back from Europe. Lift was still out of order! One staff ONLY HELPED TO CARRY 1 LUGGAGE to the 2nd last flight of stairs!!!!! We had to carry the other 2 pieces of luggage up to 2/F which was 4 flight of steep and narrow stairs!!! When checking out on 10/7, still NO LIFT, NO AIR-CONDITIONING & we had to carry all luggage down by ourselves! What kind of hotel is MONTANA!!!! Will never stay at MONTANA again!!!!

2/10 Poor

We stayed on 30/6 & 9/7 during our trip and were absolutely disappointed. Don’t understand why there were so many “good reviews”. Below are our findings: 1) No staff carry luggage to our room: We stayed on 30/6 and was told that the lift as out of order and might take a few days. Though our rooms on 2/F., the staircases were very narrow. Yet we had to climb several flights of stair with our luggage to the rooms as no staff offered to help to carry them!!!!! 2) Lousy Air-conditioning: Our rooms on the 2/F was basically no air-conditioning. In these rainy days when the temperature was high, the rooms were just like melting pots!!! A fan was in one of our rooms meant that the problem was an usual issue. On our stay on 9/7, the above problems, viz. no lift, bad air-conditioning continued AFTER 10 days. On 9/7, one staff said he could ONLY HELP to carry ONE luggage though we have 3!!!! When he reached the 2nd last flight of stairs, he just left the luggage there, leaving us to carry the ONE luggage he “helped” to our room!!!!! What kind of “hospitality service” was that? The air-conditioning was worst than 30/6! The hotel said technician had fixed it, but it wasn’t. We had to get a fan to help ventilation at last! Will NEVER STAY at MONTANA again!!!!!!!!

Elevator was out of service for my entire stay. Air conditioning did not work in my room. The hotel is old and the building is sagging, the floor of my room was not level and sagged, as well as the door frame to the room, it was on an angle from the sagging. The room is dated and suffers from years of wear and tear. I would not stay here again.

Service was top notch. Unfortunately their elevator was broken and I am 71 and had 2 large suitcases that each weighed more than 50 pounds each. So they carried them up to my room for me which was very nice of them as well as changed my room to a lower floor to assist me.

Lovely and clean however I was on the 4th floor and the lift was out of order. Good job I am a fit 68 year old as there were quite a few steps to climb. My room was at the front of the property and was a bit noisy due to the busy crossroads would ask for a room at back of property if I stayed again. The room amd bathroom wet first class however.
