As everyone else, we booked this hotel to see all those animals. And in this matter, we were not disappointed, especially thanks to the included safari tour which came along with the room.
Now speaking of the hotel itself, things are a bit different. Rooms are not exceptionnal, but ok considering the environment. The real problem is that you feel in jail. It took us 30 minutes to get to the hotel from the entrance of the park, because you have to prove you booked a room. And once you're in the hotel, it is impossible to leave unless you use hotel cars.
Considering that, we then decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. And considering the menu, I opted for non balinese food, more specifically a pizza (not a very complex dish). Conclusion : Do not eat in this restaurant at any (high) cost, this is a shame, unless you have kids that want to see lions from inside.
Even though this is probably an adventure to escape the prison, prefere the nearest town of Gyanyar, where many warungs offer decent babi guling.
As a summary
Plus : Animals
Ok : Rooms
Minus : Jail sensation, poor restaurants, poor service
