Because of construction we arrived after dark and couldn't find the motel. Went about a block from where we thought it was and asked a local where it was. He was shocked that we would want to stay there. He said it is not like it used to be and very run down. We still decided to check it out and followed his instructions. The reason we couldn't find it is because there were no lights on to show it was a motel. Had to go to the adjoining service station to find the person who looks after the motel. When he was free, he took us to the room. No light switch when you go into the room. Have to walk half way into the room to turn on the bedside light. Extremely small, dark and old room. Blankets were slightly rumpled which made me wonder if someone had used the bed. Didn't feel safe in such a dark area right next to a service station. The restaurant that had been there burned down last year, the parking lot is all full of bumps and holes. Tried to close the curtains and the whole rod fell down. Couldn't stay here. Decided to go to another motel. First time I've ever experienced anything so bad!
We just needed a clean bed to sleep in and we were glad our room was that for sure. Very old but nice and clean even a fridge and microwave. Unfortunately some of the residents were blasting music all evening but at 9 we asked about it and the front desk got them to quit. Very kind thank you
We were in room 15 and were woken up several times in the night because bats are living in the rafters! It sounded like they were flying in the room and scared the crap out of us.
