Stay two nights at Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences. The views from room are beautiful. The room decoration is distinctive. Restaurant food is delicious. Just a bit limited options for the breakfast.
This was our first time doing all inclusive for our honeymoon. We arrived and were checked in by Jasmine who was polite and professional, the only thing we lacked was an explanation of how the all inclusive worked in terms of signing out in restaurants etc. We checked into our room and were underwhelmed unfortunately. We booked a junior suite with ocean view, and we were placed on a ground floor junior suite, which you could see the ocean but it faced the pool so people could walk a foot away from us. Not ideal, then the toilet in our room was leaking, the smell was so bad so we requested to change rooms. The only room available was another ground floor in a different building with no ocean view. Again not ideal as we paid for ocean view so this was disappointing but at least the plumbing worked. Overall the property was nice, the view from the pool is beautiful and the majority of staff were excellent. I was just a little upset about the room situation since it was our honeymoon and we wanted it to feel special. It was just average. The food for the all inclusive was not great, very bland and the mixed drinks were not good. I don't want to be very negative about this property since the staff were so nice but the rooms definitely need an upgrade and the food and drinks were just not great quality (maybe this is normal for all inclusive). I probably would not stay here again and spend the extra money on an all inclusive where you can enjoy better quality food and drinks.
Enjoyed the resort, however, not offering shuttle service back to the airport daily and therefore having to pay an arm and leg for a taxi was a waste. I was also offered $50 credit, but when I asked to apply it to balance at the end of my stay, I was told I couldnât because it was just for food. Info on these services needs to be clearer from up front.
Please verify rooms are correct with booked prepaid reservations. If they are not correct, it is helpful to make it right. The guests are the only reason you are there. I feel your staff forgets the guests are their main focus. I have stayed at this resort 2 times and I will never come back. It was too expensive to have so much go wrong last week. Things go wrong. Itâs how they are handles that makes a good place an excellent place.

We were assigned the wrong room size for our # of guests and did not accommodate our original pre-paid reservation. We were assigned 1 king size bed for 3 grown adults. They never attempted to fix it. We did call and insisted on a roll away bed. That helped a little. We remained in that room the entire stay. No one tried to get us the correct accommodations.
Our âall inclusive packageâ turned out to need to be upgraded to an all inclusive for $2,500 upon our arrival. No explanation, just more fees. Then an offer to upgrade our room came with a price. The original room was never offered either. It was only that we could upgrade to a suite or they would eventually get us the right room, âby tomorrow.â That never happened.
The property just didnât have the level of service expected and the luxury of the experience became tarnished after we didnât get any pampering.
The property was nice and the staff were very friendly. There was some confusion about our $50 credit, but it all worked out. We opted out of the all inclusive package but if we go again we will get it. The location is remote but we had great taxi drivers.
