Not welcomed. We were scolded at the door by the security guard who said they could not help us. So we called the customer service number and it took over 39 minutes to get into the room. This was not hospitality. The room was
Ok, the walk and the parking were not ideal but we could not access the doors through Cellgate app ⊠ever.
Our holiday could have been ruined if we hadnât checked out early from The Wayland. The property was **shockingly unclean**, with **small cockroaches** and **tiny black insects** that left painful bitesânot mosquitoes. The entrance designated for guests, primarily used by dogs, was **overwhelmed by the stench of urine**âhardly a welcoming first impression.
The **digital entry system was unreliable**, often failing due to poor signal, leaving us stranded outside multiple times. Communication was nonexistent; never responded nor offered an apology for the situation.
Due to the **filthy conditions**, we had no choice but to purchase our own cleaning supplies and towels, as everything provided was unsanitary. We even had to wash and change the bedding. The buildingâs **strong perfume** seemed intended to **mask the lingering odours of both dogs and cannabis**.
What truly tipped us over was returning to The Wayland only to find **dog feces left outside the lift by the owner, completely unattended**âa final confirmation of the sheer disregard for cleanliness and hospitality.
Overall, this was **the worst accommodation weâve ever experienced**âmisled by deceptive photos and misleading reviews. If you value cleanliness, reliable entry, and basic hospitality, **avoid The Wayland at all costs**.
My little getaway was amazing!!! The studio was beautiful, had everything we needed I wasn't expecting a full kitchen with baking utensils as well. We had a blast the view was incredible. I loved the outside setup near the pool as well. Will definitely be booking another getaway real soon!!
I enjoyed the self check in and out mobile app along with the gate code access ease to safely enter and exit the condo complex without having to rely upon any other person. The guest service team for St. Petersburg was also very friendly and quick at their response time!! Thank you for your hospitality !!! Martha
