This was mostly good. Just a few things would make it great. First the good. This is right on the beach, has a lovely pool, grill, and outdoor area. The rooms, while old, have been recently renovated and were very clean. The bed was comfortable. These are set up with 2 rooms in one building, so you only have one immediate neighbor. There were 2 TVs in my unit, and the living room was seperate from the bedroom. I was there when there were very few people, so it as very quiet. These were the things that could be improved: The driveway to the parking area was incredibly tight. I had no more than 1-2 inches of clearance for the mirrors of my SUV. There wasn't much room to park or turnaround too. The bathroom is very small and the sink and handles for the shower were old. While they were cute, they didn't work too well, and they were difficult to turn off and not drip. Other than the back of the toilet, there were no flat surfaces for your toothbrush, cosmetics, etc. The wifi was weak and so unsecure that my tablet would not connect to it, even with a VPN. I realize these seem petty, but they did impact my stay.

Rooms are clean well kept. Staff is friendly, exceptional. Owner checks In. He’s pleasant to talk to. Will to meet your needs, wants what best for consumer. It’s a wonder quaint place to stay! Heated pool is comfortable for all day swimming with view of beach. Beach isn’t crowded.

Not what it used to be!!

This used to be a great little place to stay for a reasonable price. Since it has changed hands, it doesn’t have the same charm that it used to. They are trying to make this historic little motel into a “resort “, which it is not. The prices are way out of line for no housekeeping services but just receiving replacement towels for what you used the day before. It’s sad because we’ve been coming here for over 10 years and will probably go elsewhere to get better value for the money.

We had an amazingly wonderful weekend!! The rooms are so beautiful and updated to have the best quality everything and very very comfortable. The staff is very friendly.. the beautiful beach is right outside your door!! My husband and I are very happy and are making this our new go to vacation home in St.Pete ❤️
