It’s a real mixed bag this place, so much to like but let’s itself down in certain areas.
Hotel rooms were the best i have seen especially for larger families with 3 kids, the breakfast and lunch options were good, however the evening meal options were too limited for us second tier guests. The Palapa is not great for dinner really but it’s either that or a basic Pizza restaurant.
The two main restaurant are the preserve of the tier one guests(or members as they call them). I went to meet the hotel manager and told them this was a disgrace and they booked us in, but it shouldn’t need us to have to do this. This is probably my biggest beef with this place.
Evening entertainment is non existent and the beach has just been eroded away.
The bar and restaurant staff are excellent, our favourites were Pablo and Alfredo!
The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard and everywhere is immaculate!
The pool was really nice, lovely and warm and we loved the swim up bar.
The kids club was great and our 5 year old loved it there.
The hotel is a fair distance from Playa, the shuttle service is very good though and it is punctual.
The gym was decent, good selection of equipment and towels provided.
Any reviews you have read about being hassled about timeshares isn’t the case any more.
All told, we have had a lovely holiday the Mexican people are very friendly and not out to enforce endless rules, all very chilled.
