    The Pearl District is a trendy historic district directly north of San Antonio’s city centre. Once an old industrial area, the neighbourhood has been revamped and is now a go-to hub for nightlife, food, and arts and culture. 

    The focal point of the 16-block district is the historic Pearl Brewery. On weekends, the brewery’s plaza hosts a colourful and open-air Farmer’s Market where you have the chance to buy local produce from local vendors. These include honey, artisan cheese, and baked goods, among others. In between browsing, you can watch live bands or relax in one of the neighbourhood’s green spaces.

    Eastside Promise is an entertainment hub that lies directly to the east of Downtown San Antonio. To enjoy live music, The Rock Box regularly hosts local bands and touring national rock groups. The outdoor shopping centre offers a variety of big-box chains, upscale dining, and a movie theatre.

    Avoid visiting the mall in the afternoons when traffic at U.S. 281 and Loop 1604 is peak. Outdoor activities in this area include strolling or biking along the Stone Oak Park trails while enjoying public art displays. You can also practice your swing at the Canyon Springs Golf Club.
